The Hampton Bays boys track team lost, 93-48, at Shoreham/Wading River. Coupled with a loss at Bayport/Blue Point back on March 31, the Baymen are 0-2 to start the season.
The Lady Baymen also suffered a loss at the hands of Shoreham/Wading River, 110-33, at home. They also suffered a loss to Bayport/Blue Point and are winless in their first two meets.
The Hurricanes suffered a 5-3 loss to Islip at home. With the bases loaded, and the game tied at 3-3, Buccaneer Mike Catalanotto was hit by a pitch to give his team the lead for good in the fifth inning. Westhampton Beach is 5-2.
Anna Collins drove in the eventual winning run in the top of the seventh inning for the Lady Hurricanes, who picked up their first victory of the season, 9-5, at Mount Sinai. Lexi Miller went 2 for 4 with four RBIs and pitcher Angela Acampora got the win. Westhampton Beach is now 1-4 on the season.
In their first League VI meet of the season, the Lady Hurricanes lost, 94-55.
