Southampton High School

Katharine Ramgopal was named the February Lions Girl of the Month. Katharine has served as a president of Student Council, vice president and treasurer of the Class of 2015, and captain of the varsity girls soccer team. A member of the National Spanish and Latin Foreign Language Honor Societies, the varsity girls track team, Athletes Helping Athletes, Varsity Club, she is a National Merit Scholar Commended Student and an AP Scholar with Honors. In her spare time, she enjoys surfing, writing, and traveling. Her future plans include studying political science or international relations to become an international investigative journalist or war correspondent. Katharine is the daughter of Heather McCallion and Vinode Ramgopal.

Maria Pauline DelaCruz was named the March Lions Girl of the Month. Pauline is a member of the National Honor Society and the French Honor Society and is president of the Class of 2015. As the captain of the varsity chess team, she is a top-10 county chess player. A member of the varsity girls tennis team, varsity girls basketball, and JV girls lacrosse teams, she is the editor of Key Club, editor-in-chief of the yearbook, and Sergeant at Arms of the Varsity Club. Pauline plays guitar, bass, drums and piano, and travels to the Philippines each year. Her future plans include studying business finance and music or film in college. Pauline is the daughter of Joel and Melani DelaCruz.

Southampton Intermediate School

Southampton Intermediate School will present a musical production of “Annie” this weekend in the Southampton High School auditorium. Showtimes are Thursday and Friday, May 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 25, at 2 and 7 p.m. Admission is free.
