Tuckahoe School

The Tuckahoe pre-K classes have planted potatoes in the community garden under the direction of their teachers and food service coordinator, Matt Doris.

The Cinco De Mayo celebration will be Friday, May 1, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., sponsored by the Tuckahoe Educational Foundation. It will feature food, games, piñata, music (including Tuckahoe students). Open to all, the cost of admission is $5 per person and children age 5 and under are free. Volunteers are welcome and should contact Iliana at 631-885-5114.

Local veterans are invited to a special breakfast in their honor on May 22 at 8:30 a.m.

The Tuckahoe PTO will hold its annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale on Thursday and Friday, May 7 and 8, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the school’s front lawn. Nurse and teacher appreciation celebrations are set for May 6 and 8.
