SOUTHAMPTON SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPOSITIONSVoters in the Southampton School District will be asked to vote on three propositions in addition to the proposed budget and school board candidates.
Proposition 2 would authorize the school district to spend approximately $1.14 million from the 2007 10-year capital reserve fund for building improvements, including work on the intermediate school locker rooms, installing a new classroom bathroom and soundproofing the ceiling at the elementary school. This proposition will not affect the tax levy.
Proposition 3 would authorize spending $398,320 for the district’s participation in the Southampton Youth Association for the 2015-16 school year.
Proposition 4 would authorize spending $150,000 for programs and services contracted with the Southampton Historical Museum.
