Contractors working for the Southampton Town Highway Department will be reconstructing Noyac Road between North Sea Road and Stony Hill Road in Noyac for three days, beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, according to Highway Superintendent Alex Gregor. The work will include milling the current pavement and making repairs to the roadway.
At least one lane in each direction will be open on an alternating basis, Mr. Gregor said, but he advised those commuters who could to find other routes.
“If people could think of alternate ways to go,” he said, “that would be much appreciated.”
He noted that although there will be alternating lanes of traffic, delays should be expected.
“We’re just asking everyone to have patience,” he said. “It’ll be a much improved roadway when we’re done.”
