Claus Hoie Holiday Cards Return In East Hampton

Claus Hoie Holiday Cards ReturnThe East Hampton Historical Society has reissued a limited edition of its popular Claus Hoie holiday cards. The cards, which sold out last year, depict Claus Hoie’s 2002 watercolor of a snow-covered Mulford Farm and Home Sweet Home. A single window is illuminated by candlelight, and a windmill stands adamantly in the background, and snow falls on the quiet winter morning.

The holiday cards were first issued in 2012 through the help of a friend of the Historical Society and with the participation of the Helen and Claus Hoie Charitable Foundation, which approved the use of the painting. Proceeds from their sale goes to benefit the education committee of the East Hampton Historical Society. The price is $30 for a box of 12 cards, and they can be purchased at the Historical Society’s main office at 101 Main Street in East Hampton and at East Hampton Gardens on Gingerbread Lane. More information is available by calling 324-6850.
