The car overturned on Sunrise Highway because a tire on the vehicle blew out and the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to State Trooper Tammy Mickoliger.
The two passengers, which Trooper Mickoliger would not name, did not have serious injuries and declined medical attention at the scene.
The driver of a car heading west on Sunrise Highway in Hampton Bays left the roadway and overturned on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
State Police responded to the call at 3:23 p.m., noting that the vehicle left the road just west of Exit 65.
The condition of the driver was not immediately known. It was also unclear if there were any passengers in the vehicle at the time.
An ambulance was called to the scene.
Sate Police could not immediately provide any additional details about the accident.
