The assistant principal at Southampton High School had her 15 minutes of fame: She appeared in a music video that features popular artists Trey Songz and rapper JR—as well as plenty of sex, drugs and alcohol. And its depiction of a salacious pool party had her in hot water. In the video for the song “Best Friend,” which has been posted to YouTube, Esther Adler-O’Keefe says all of six words to St. Louis rapper JR as she and her husband leave him for the night at what appears to be their house: “Enjoy yourself. Just remember, security’s here,” she says, then hurries off with her husband in a black SUV. “Security” turns out to be two female security guards standing at the front of the home wearing uniforms that say “Police.” They enter the house and strip.

Hampton Bays has an unusual celebrity taking over the Shinnecock Inlet: a friendly deer. The small deer was first spotted near the western side of the inlet about two weeks ago, according to locals. Since then kids, fishermen and families have been returning to the area to play with and feed the young deer. Molly Fargo, a 14-year-old from Hampton Bays, said she likes to call the deer Elliot because it reminds her of Elliot the deer from the 2006 animated movie “Open Season,” the one voiced by Ashton Kutcher. “This deer is so friendly and eats everything,” Molly said. “Just like Elliot.” The deer was later rescued by a local wildlife organization.
