Our Lady of the Hamptons School, November 17

Our Lady of the Hamptons School

Prep students (grade six through eight) walked to and from the Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary and participated in the liturgy for the closing of the doors to the Year of Mercy. After the Mass, Bishop William Murphy came to the school where he blessed the new front entrance and doors to the school.

Valerie Hanley and her Prep 7 students presented special Veterans Day cards that were made by students to residents of the Southampton Care Center, as well as the Bridgehampton Nutrition Center. The class also shared their monthly lunch visit with the Bridgehampton seniors.

Prep 6 runner, James Conigliaro received his championship first-place medal at the final meet of the Catholic Middle Schools Athletics Association event. Classmate Hector Maldonado was also cited for his consistent finishing in the top 10 of all runners throughout the cross-country season.

The public is invited to share in the family advent service, an evening of prayer, song, dance that culminates in the lighting of the Christmas tree and blessing of the Christmas crèche on Tuesday, December 6, at 7 p.m.

A list of alumni from Our Lady of the Hamptons, as well as alumni from Our Lady of Poland and Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, is being compiled in anticipation of the 35th anniversary of OLH. Send an email to Sister Kathy at sks@hamptons.com.
