Southampton Village Po-Po Reports


Alton C. Dennis, 48, of Southampton was arrested by Village Police on Tuesday, March 11, at around 1:30 p.m. on an outstanding bench warrant for failing to pay a $130 fine related to a prior criminal charge.

Village Police arrested Gary A. Hartmann, 43, of Mastic at around 2:20 p.m. on March 11 and charged him with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and driving a vehicle without insurance. Mr. Hartmann had been stopped for a traffic violation while driving a 2004 Chevrolet westbound on Hill Street, according to police. The car was impounded.

A 26-year-old East Hampton man was arrested on Wednesday, March 12, at around 1:45 p.m. after Village Police responded to a call from a Meeting House Lane residence. Police say the man shoved his pregnant girlfriend to the ground, kicked her in the legs, pulled her hair and bit her left arm. He was charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation. The victim was placed in emergency housing and an order of protection was issued.

Last Thursday, March 13, Village Police arrested Carlos A. Bedoya, 39, of Hampton Bays on an outstanding bench warrant issued by Southampton Town Court. Mr. Bedoya was turned over to the Town Police.

Village Police arrested Ashley S. Pressley, 20, of Southampton on March 13 around 6:30 p.m. on an outstanding bench warrant from East Hampton Town Court. She was turned over to East Hampton Village Police.
