Students in kindergarten through grade five participated in the annual Arbor Day tree planting on Friday, May 10. Landscape design teacher Judiann Carmack and special education teacher Laura Keenan coordinated the outdoor activity during which students shared poems about trees and caring for the environment, followed by a group planting of a blue spruce pine trees generously donated by Bridgehampton Agway, which will be used for future “Tree for Wildlife Celebrations.”
A Day of Achievement awards ceremony for excellence in academics and athletics will be held on May 16 at 9:45 a.m. The spring concert for grades seven through 12 and the annual art exhibit will take place on Thursday, May 16, at 7 p.m. The Environmental Club will hold a plant sale during the concert and on May 21 during the school budget vote.
