East Hampton High School
The spring concert will be held on Thursday, May 23, and will feature performances by all the musical groups at the high school. The event starts at 7 p.m. in the auditorium; the public is welcomed to attend.

On Saturday, the front lawn of the East Hampton Middle School will feature a mega yard sale, from which 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the high school’s trip to Senegal to construct a school in a small village this summer. The group is still about $15,000 away from the goal of $93,000 needed. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and if you have items to donate, please call (631) 604-0855 before Saturday.

Monetary donations toward the trip may also be made online at webuildon.buildon.org/ehhsstudents.

Bonac Botanicals will be holding a plant sale to benefit the school garden on May 26 and 27 in front of the school.

On Tuesday, May 28, AP art students travel to Springs after school to install their artwork at Ashawagh Hall. This will be the 11th year Heather Evans has organized the exhibit with her students. The display gives both Ms. Evans’s and Sheila Batiste’s students the experience of selecting a body of work to show, the practice of preparing the works for exhibition, and the actual installation of their artwork. Students also help to plan the reception for parents and the community. The reception is Wednesday, May 29, from 3 to 7 p.m.

The Senior Local Scholarship Program will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, during which graduating students will be presented with scholarship awards from community organizations, local businesses and individual donors.

Seniors planning to attend the senior banquet on June 20 need to pick up the packets and get their permission slips in to the main office. No tickets will be sold after June 7.
East Hampton Middle School
The annual Bonac on Board to Wellness 5K run/walk will be held on Wednesday, May 22. Students leave the school at 9 a.m., arrive at Main Beach for lunch, and then head back to school at the end of the day.

The seventh and eighth grade spring concert will take place in the auditorium at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, May 29.
John M. Marshall Elementary School
The fourth and fifth grades perform “Disney’s Cinderella Kids” on Wednesday, May 22 at 7 p.m., and Thursday at 9 a.m., with both performances at the East Hampton Middle School.

The Scholastic book fair is still in full swing in the library, with lots of opportunities for the kids (and parents) to buy books and other items through Friday.

Various grades and classes visit the South Fork Natural History Museum in Bridgehampton with their teachers to learn about the flora and fauna of the region. Trips to the LongHouse Reserve and to the Jackson-Pollock house will paint a picture of the rich art history of the area for the students.

School will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.
