Bridgehampton SchoolStudents in pre–K through grade five celebrated Principal Jack Pryor’s career at the last elementary assembly of the school year on Friday, June 14. Students honored Dr. Pryor with songs, poems, a book called “Portraits of Our Principal,” candy awards and special readings to thank him for his dedication and service to the school.
Aditya Made Nugraha and Bryzeida Perez, senior class valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, were congratulated by Senator Ken LaValle and Assemblyman Fred Thiele Jr. for their outstanding academic achievement at a ceremony held at the Hampton Bays Middle School on Friday, June 14.
Several students from Bridgehampton School received awards at the annual Longhouse student show, which was held on June 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the Longhouse Reserve in East Hampton. Patricia Figueroa and Talon Indilla tied for second place for drawing in the middle school category, along with Justin LaPointe in third place. Robert Rewinski and Jada Pinckney will receive awards for first and second place in ceramics in the High School Category. For digital photography, Vanessa Cruz and Jennah Hochstedler placed first with honorable mention going to Robert Rewinski and Bryzeida Perez.
Moving-Up Day for students in kindergarten to grade five will take place on Friday, June 21, in the gymnasium beginning at 9 a.m. Kindergarten through second grade awards are at 9 a.m. and grades three to five awards will be at 9:45 a.m. The Bridgehampton High School graduation ceremony for the Class of 2013 is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 23.
