Children Learn About Robots, Environment In Summer Program

More than 30 East Quogue Elementary School students between the ages of 7 and 11 learned about robotics, engineering and the local water ecology this week as part of a summer ocean explorer’s class. The students built their own underwater remote-operated vehicles on Tuesday morning at the Central Avenue school, which they will equip with cameras and send to the bottom of the Shinnecock Bay on Thursday, June 27, in order to explore the sea floor.
