UPDATE: Driver Of Porsche In Monday’s Southampton Village Crash Charged With DWI


UPDATE, Tuesday, 10:35 a.m.

The driver of the Porsche, Simon C. Dolmaian, 42, of Garden City has been charged with DWI and reckless driving, both misdemeanors, by Southampton Village Police.

According to a release issued by Detective Sergeant Herman Lamison, the Saturn was stuck in traffic when it was struck by the car driven by Mr. Dolmaian. The Saturn subsequently struck the Volkswagen, which was also in traffic.

Both victims, who have not been identified, have been treated for minor injuries and were already released from Southampton Hospital Tuesday morning.

Mr. Dolmaian is awaiting arraignment.


Two people were injured in a three-car accident on North Sea Road in Southampton Village on Monday evening.

The accident, which occurred shortly before 6 p.m., occurred when the driver of a red Porsche convertible was speeding while traveling northbound on North Sea Road and collided with a green Saturn. In turn, the Saturn struck a blue Volkswagen, according to Chris Brenner, the 2nd assistant chief of the Southampton Fire Department.

The drivers of the Saturn and the Volkswagen were both taken via ambulance to Southampton Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Porsche, who has not been identified, was taken into police custody for undisclosed charges.

Southampton Village Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
