A Garden City man was charged with DWI and reckless driving, both misdemeanors, after he crashed his car into another vehicle on Monday, initiating a three-car accident that sent two drivers to the hospital, according to Southampton Village Police.
Simon C. Dolmaian, 42, was arrested shortly after the crash, which took place at 5:45 p.m. According to a press release issued by Detective Sergeant Herman Lamison, Mr. Dolmaian was speeding northbound in his 2013 Porsche convertible on North Sea Road when it veered off course and struck a Saturn that was stuck in traffic. In turn, the Saturn hit a Volkswagen from behind.
The drivers of the Saturn and the Volkswagen, whom police did not identify, were both taken by Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance to Southampton Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries before being released, according to police.
Mr. Dolmaian, who was not injured, was taken to Village Police headquarters for processing and arraignment.
