Guy Squires Of Southampton Dies September 28


Guy Squires of Southampton, former owner of Squires Sanitation and Squires and Pierson Sanitation and Cesspool Service, died at home on September 28. He was 78. A lifelong resident of Southampton, he was a member of the Southampton Fire Department and held the department record for the most blood donations.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Lynch Squires, in 1970. He had two surviving children from this marriage, Stephanie Squires Deschapelles of Bronxville and Samuel Squires of Southampton. He is also survived by his wife, Bridget Squires; and three sons, Eugene of Southampton, Guy of North Carolina, and their respective wives, and Terence Squires of New York City. Mr. Squires is also survived by five grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Southampton Fire Department Benevolent Fund.
