Energy Efficiency Seminar To Be Held In Hampton Bays


Southampton Town, the Long Island Power Authority and Renewable Energy Long Island are co-hosting a clean energy forum next Thursday, December 12, in Hampton Bays.

The seminar will be held at the Hampton Bays Senior Center, located at 25 Ponquogue Avenue in Hampton Bays, and run from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

The forum will focus on helping homeowners understand the benefits and options available for renewable energy sources, such as solar-powered electrical and hot-water heating systems, and discuss the use of energy efficient materials during construction.

Renewable Energy Long Island is a not-for-profit dedicated to improving energy efficiency and expanding the use of renewable energy sources. The organization notes that such upgrades can save homeowners hundreds, and possibly thousands, of dollars a year in energy costs.
