Voting will take place on Tuesday in several fire districts in Southampton Town.
In Bridgehampton, Commissioner Steve Halsey is running unopposed, although former Commissioner Bruce Dombkowski, whose petition to be a candidate was declared invalid by the district’s new attorney, is expected to mount a write-in campaign. Voting will take place at the Bridgehampton Fire Department headquarters on School Street in Bridgehampton from 6 to 9 p.m.
In Southampton, Commissioner Tom White is unopposed for reelection. The Southampton Fire District encompasses most of Water Mill, Tuckahoe and Shinnecock Hills, but not Southampton Village. Voting will take place at the Tuckahoe School library from 5 to 9 p.m.
In North Sea, Commissioner Michael Behringer is unopposed for reelection. Voting in North Sea will take place at the North Sea Fire Department headquarters on Noyac Road from 6 to 9 p.m.
West of the Shinnecock Canal, there is only one contested race: In the Hampton Bays Fire District, Commissioner Gerard Buckley II is seeking reelection, and Christopher Langsdorf is challenging him. Also, District Treasurer Christine Kenny is seeking reelection and is unopposed. Polls will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hampton Bays Fire Department headquarters.
In the Flanders Fire District, Rob Merker is running unopposed. Polls will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. at the firehouse in Flanders.
In the Westhampton Beach Fire District, Commissioner Dean Culver is unopposed for reelection. Polls will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. at the firehouse.
Keith Kostuk is unopposed in his bid for reelection in the Eastport Fire District. Polls will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. at the firehouse.
In the East Quogue Fire District, Aaron Sacks is the lone candidate running to replace Commissioner Mark Gregory. Treasurer Nancy Knotoff is running unopposed for reelection. Polls will be open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the firehouse.
