Three Hampton Bays residents were cited for selling alcohol to underage, undercover officers in a sting operation on Friday night, officials have said.
All three employees, Luis Solis-Orantes, 52, Brandi McKay, 24, and Brendan Worrell, 30, were charged by New York State Troopers with one count of unlawful dealing with a child and one count of prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage.
Mr. Solis-Orantes, an employee at the Shell Mart Gas Station on West Montauk Highway, sold a six-pack of Heineken beer to the undercover agent. Ms. McKay, a cashier at Bottle Hampton on County Road 39 in Southampton, sold a bottle of Grays Peak Vodka. Mr. Worrell, a cashier at Hampton Beverage on East Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays sold a 12-pack of Bud-Light Beer to agents.
All three employees were issued tickets to appear at Southampton Town Justice Court on a later date.
