Westhampton Beach Village has announced the winners of its 12th annual holiday lighting contest, following judging last Thursday, December 12.
In the Residence category, top honors—and $100 in winnings—go to the Matlock family for their colorful display at 66 Depot Road. The Heffernan family, who live at 110 Oneck Lane, took second place honors and the Garcia family, at 53 Rogers Avenue, finished in third place. The Braat family on Bridle Path and the Belson family on Sunset Avenue were honorable mentions.
Hampton Estates on Sunset Avenue took top honors in the Small Business category, followed by O’Suzanna/Mustique on Main Street, which took second place. Hampton Properties, also on Main Street, finished third.
And in the Large Business category, The Southampton Press on Mitchell Road finished in first place. The Morgan House on Potunk Lane took second and the Margarita Grille on Main Street finished third.
The judges for this year’s contest included Ridgie Barnett, Carrie Dansky and Terry McEntee.
The top finishers in each category will receive $100 from the village and a photograph of their illuminated display. The second- and third-place finishers will also receive photographs. Village Trustees will honor the winners at their first meeting in January.
