East Hampton High School

The 2014-15 program of studies is posted on the district’s website, high school page, for those students who want to get an early start on picking their classes for next year.

Midterms are this week, delayed from the previous week due to the inclement weather.

The principal/freshmen parent breakfast this morning, January 29, will be run by the counseling department and will focus on the ninth grade class. Parents should bring their questions and concerns, along with a brown bag breakfast.

East Hampton Middle School

The seventh and eighth grade chorus will song songs of love at the Valentine Cabaret Show on Thursday, January 30, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are $3 each.

The fabulous and eagerly awaited ninth annual Mad Heart Ball will be held at the school on Friday, February 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. This popular event features students who have taken dance classes and compete in pairs for prizes and medals. This event is open to families of the dancers, but not to the general public.

The annual seventh grade trip will take place on June 5 with a visit to the Mystic Seaport and Aquarium. The seventh grade team would like to see 100 percent participation this year. The $75 fee is due on Thursday, January 30.

The middle school musical, “Seussical Jr.,” will be staged on February 12 at 7 p.m.

John M. Marshall Elementary School

A Valentine’s party for the two-to-six year old set, will be held on Feburary 1 at the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center. Jim Turner will be there with a musical performance at 11:30 a.m.

The anti-bullying presentation by John Marshall’s counselors has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25, at 6:30 p.m.
