The Class of 2014 will celebrate local senior citizens with a gala luncheon and entertainment on Friday, March 28, at the school. Luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. The event will be prepared and served by the eighth grade class. There is no charge for the day. Transportation will be available from Bishop Ryan Village, Hampton Bays. Call the school for a reservation.

A spring golf outing to benefit the school will be held at Gardiners Bay Country Club on Shelter Island on Friday, May 16. Early reservations are advised.

Construction continues on the interior of the classroom wing in the new OLH Wellness Center. The anticipated date for the solemn blessing and dedication is Thursday, May 1. Those who are interested in learning more about this project should call the school to arrange a tour and have a session with the principal leading toward partnership in the project.

While we await the arrival of spring, it is also time to finalize registration for the September 2014 school year. Limited space is available in kindergarten, as well as grades one and two, with waiting list status in effect in grades three to six. Kindergarten students must turn five years old prior to December 1, 2014.

The preschool program, geared to the Common Core learning standards is available at the OLH-St Rosalie’s campus in Hampton Bays. Programs are available for three and four year olds. There is a three- or five-day option available for four year olds, while three year olds attend the two-day session.
