East Hampton Town Forces Demolition Of ‘Eyesore’ On Abraham’s Path

The East Hampton Town Attorney’s office has placed May Six LLC, the property owner of 29 Abraham’s Path, on notice for continued property violations after the entity failed to demolish an “abandoned, ramshackled house” on the property by an October 10 deadline, according to a press release from Town Supervisor Larry Cantwell on Friday.

On September 16, May Six, LLC pleaded guilty to two counts of violating New York State property maintenance code, paid $1,000 in fines and entered into a Conditional Discharge Order that required the demolition, the release stated.

“We informed the town of our intent to demolish the premises as of yesterday,” said Brian Lester, the attorney for May Six LLC, in a phone interview on Friday. “They’re actively engaging someone to demolish the premises,” he said of his clients.
