The Sag Harbor School District has hired a new superintendent—whose name has not yet been disclosed—to start July 1.
The new hire will be introduced to the public at a School Board meeting at 6 p.m. on April 23 in the Pierson library.
For the 2013-14 school year, the position was filled by Dr. Carl Bonuso, who became interim superintendent after Dr. John Gratto retired in June 2012. Dr. Bonuso is a retired superintendent for the Wantagh public schools.
Dr. Bonuso could not be reached for comment.
The district’s search for a new superintendent was spearheaded by School Leadership LLC, a Malverne company that specializes in assisting districts in hiring school administrators. Its officials, likewise, could not be reached for comment.
