Our Lady of the Hamptons
Bishop Nelson Perez blessed the Wellness Center-classroom extension to Our Lady of the Hamptons at a special dedication ceremony. The 300 students were joined by the faculty, parents, benefactors and special representatives of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, School Board, Sisters of St. Joseph, Mayor Mark Epley, Assemblyman Fred Thiele, local merchants and the contractors who worked on the building.
The new extension to the school boasts a full gymnasium with elevated running track, six new classrooms, a kitchenette and outdoor play area. Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders will be the first group to attend “OLH Prep,” the extended state-of-the-art middle school housed in the new addition this September.
Last minute reservations are still being accepted for the golf outing to benefit OLH. The event will be held at Gardiners Bay Country Club on Shelter Island on Friday, May 16. Call 283-9140 for details
