Liz Bertsch’s class of young filmmakers hosted its first Young Filmmakers’ Festival last Saturday. Students under 16 years of age from the East End submitted their films for the festival. The students, along with experts in the field, decided which films would be viewed at the East End’s first film festival for young filmmakers. Twelve films were screened with diverse topics and styles. The filmmakers took questions from the audience following the screening.

Erin O’Connor’s schoolwide quilting project is nearing completion. Students are creating individual squares with their own personalities. The completed quilt will be hung in Jeff’s Kitchen.
