Why did you get involved with the local ambulance company?: “I took an EMT class while at Suffolk County Community College that I thought I might like. Then I got certified. When I first joined, I took every single call, and there are about 350 calls a year. I got hooked, and I’ve been here ever since.”

What do you find the most rewarding about the experience: “Being able to help people at their worst time.”
