Marantz | OkaKristina Janet Marantz, daughter of Alan and Virginia Marantz of Bridgehampton, and Christopher Oka, son of Betty Oka of Monrovia, California and the late Mitsuo Oka, were married on June 13 at the Unfinished Church in St. George’s Bermuda. The Reverend W. David Raths officiated the ceremony in front of their families and closest friends.
The reception followed at Coral Beach and Tennis Club in Paget.
The bride, 28, is a kindergarten teacher. She taught at Grace Church School in New York for two years and is currently pursing a master’s degree in early childhood education at Hunter College. She attended Southern Methodist University and graduated from The New School with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.
The groom, 38, works at Angelo Gordon, a real estate private equity firm, specializing in hotel investments. He earned a master’s in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
The couple met on Long Island and reside in Manhattan.
