Theodora Aspegren, daughter of the late John and Lois Aspegren of New York City and Southampton, and Robert Bailey, son of the late Reverend Edwin and Ann Bailey of Southern Pines, North Carolina, were married June 3, 2017, at West Palm Beach’s Family Church.
Pastor Jimmy Fogelman officiated. The bride’s brother, John Aspegren Jr., walked her down the aisle, and the bride’s daughter, Charlotte Barstow Rabbe, was her maid of honor. The groom’s brother, Christopher Hopkins Bailey, was best man.
A reception followed at the couple’s home in West Palm Beach. The couple met in 1999 in Southampton through mutual friends. Their passion for the ocean, historic preservation and strategic fundraising for children and the arts brought them to West Palm Beach via New York and Newport, Rhode Island. The bride currently serves on the West Palm Beach Historic Planning Board as vice chair, and on the board of the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation.
The groom is managing partner of TrustedAdvisory, business funding advisory, and an author of suspense novels. He is a member of the Palm Beach Writer’s Group currently writing a film script.
